Level Certified Seating Inc. working toward BIFMA Level 1 Certification for Sustainability.
The purpose of the LEVELS program is to provide a measurable, market based definition about what "green" really is. Levels is a fair certification which addresses materials, energy and atmosphere, human and ecosystem health, and social responsibility, and how these things affect the organization, facility, and products of the company seeking certification.

Seating Inc. is working on a Level 1 Certification, which requires third party verification, and we are expecting to have that early in 2014.

Since we built our first custom chair over 20 years ago, Seating Incorporated has made every effort to be a responsible corporate citizen. As the importance of a healthy workplace and a clean global environment has grown, so has our commitment to manufacturing “green” office seating products.

Seating Green chairs have all been tested by MAS labs. These products were tested according to the BIFMA Standard X7.1-2005 to meet low emissions standards. We purchase 90% of product materials and components within a 500-mile radius of our factory, limiting transport vehicle fuel consumption and emissions.

Our Manufacturing

Custom product construction by skilled teams eliminates the use of assembly lines and large machinery, keeping factory emissions low.
